Office of Study Abroad & Service-Learning
Learn by doing.
At Iona, you have many opportunities to engage in local, national and international programs that aim to improve the quality of life for those in need. At the same time, you will be learning valuable skills, including how to be a responsible citizen of the world – one who seeks justice and human rights for all.
The Office of Study Abroad & Service-Learning helps you engage with your communities and learn by doing through two programs: Study Abroad and Service-Learning.

Mission
The mission of the Office of Study Abroad & Service-Learning is to prepare students to lead lives as engaged citizens, reflective practitioners, intercultural leaders, and socially responsible community members. In the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice, this office strives to create transformational educational experiences for the development of global agency where learners grow in both proclivity and ability to make positive contributions to their local, regional, national and global communities.
