Dr. Meng Yan teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood education and literacy, with a strong interest in teaching educational research methods. Prior to joining Iona University, she served as a visiting lecturer at Indiana University, where she taught introductory education courses and coordinated the Tomorrow’s Teachers program. Previously, she was a high school teacher and university instructor in China, specializing in English as a second language. Dr. Yan is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, with research interests in teacher education, diversity, multicultural education, educational equity, social justice, and online learning.
