Accounting Major Logan Balsan ’24 Pursues Various Passions at Iona

Student Success

New Rochelle, N.Y. - Logan Balsan ’24 is a determined accounting major and passionate musician who plays with Iona’s Music Ministry and Pep Band. He is also a Resident Assistant and president of the Italian Culture Club, among other activities on campus.

In other words, he keeps busy!

“Socializing is a lot different in higher education than in high school, especially as a resident on campus. You meet people from different areas of the country, or the world in some cases, and you get to know all about them,” said Balsan, of Franklin Square, N.Y. “It's a bit of a learning curve, but over time, you get the hang of it. Iona's students and peers are nothing but kind, genuine and respectful.”

Managing his various passions is a demanding task, but Balsan makes the most of his time-management skills to ensure he can partake in his interests while exceling inside and outside of the classroom.

He especially enjoys his accounting work and is excited to enter the profession. This January, he will be interning with BDO, a top 10 accounting firm.

“Iona has a great community and plethora of activities, as was obvious when I first toured when applying for higher education,” he said. “Iona has been significant in gearing me for my career ahead, and I can't be more excited for what it will look like.”
