Iona University Alumnus Frank Marino ’73 Featured in "The Top PR Firms in Commercial Real Estate"
Iona University alumnus Frank Marino ’73 is the founder and CEO of Marino PR. Established in 1993, Marino PR provides public relations and strategic communication services to help clients achieve business and organizational goals.
The company was recognized in "The Top PR Firms in Commercial Real Estate" by the Observer publication for their expansion and impact this past year. A critical part of the expansion includes the launch of their creative studio and “branding, creative, advertising, e-commerce marketing and full-scale production [that] have been added to their repertoire.”
In his role as CEO, Marino has provided strategic communications counsel to Fortune 100 and major international and national businesses including McDonald’s, Walmart, The Home Depot, and Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses, to name a few.
"I watched my father’s work ethic and learned from him that you really have to work for what you want," Marino said. "My advice: work hard and stay the course."
Under the leadership of Marino, the firm has worked on large-scale New York City projects including the expansion of the Downtown Brooklyn commercial and residential sectors, the creation of the Hudson Yards, Brooklyn Bridge Park, the repositioning of Chelsea Market and Industry City, and the expansion of Silvercup Studios. The agency has also been recognized with a multitude of industry honors and accolades in addition to Observer, including PR News Agency Elite 100; Crain’s New York Business Notable in Marketing & PR; and Globe St. Influencers in Marketing & Communications.
Considered among the mid-sized agency elite nationwide, Marino’s favorite part of the role is that "every day brings new challenges and new opportunities."
A first-generation student and highly regarded communication strategist, the New York native earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Iona in 1973.
"I always had confidence in my communication skills and thought further building upon them would help me in the future," Marino said. "Being surrounded by people who were driven to work hard and learn provided a great platform to grow my entrepreneurial skills."
