Dr. Rhoda San Jose has been a nurse for over 25 years with a diverse set of clinical experience in nursing education, nursing professional development, and nursing informatics. She leads the nursing skills and simulation learning team that facilitates all nursing skills lab activities for Health Assessment, Foundations of Patient-Centered Care, and simulation activities for Medical-Surgical, Maternal-Newborn, Pediatrics, Behavioral (Psych), and Community/Population Health Nursing. She believes that advancing the art and science of simulation through research and professional development will transform the future of nursing education and professional practice.
Dr. San Jose's interests include the use of serious games, augmented and virtual reality, and artificial intelligence in clinical competency development, disease management, and in improving patient care experience and quality outcomes.
