Dr. Alison Suen teaches courses in moral philosophy, feminist philosophy, and Honors 201 seminar. Her research interests are primarily in the areas of animal ethics and feminist philosophy. She has published articles in philoSOPHIA: A Journal of Continental Feminism as well as Teaching Philosophy. Her monograph, The Speaking Animal, was published by Rowman and Littlefield International in 2015. Her edited book, Response Ethics, is also published by Rowman and Littlefield International (forthcoming). She has recently co-edited a special issue (forthcoming) at the Atlantis: Critical Studies in Gender, Culture and Social Justice. Her current research is on the ethics of consumption.
