Iona University Grows School of Health Sciences, Launching New Degrees in High Demand

Applications open for Fall 2024!

Bronxville, N.Y. – As the need for skilled health care professionals continues to grow, so does the NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences.

Building upon its success, Iona University is pleased to offer its new Bachelor of Science degree program in Health and Wellness, which launched Fall 2023. According to projections from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth in this area is expected to increase by 12 percent from 2021-2031, with 16,000 positions projected each year on average.

In addition, Iona is also accepting applications for its two new Master of Science degree programs in nursing: Nursing Healthcare Organizational Leadership and Nursing Education.  Geared toward nurses eager to advance their careers, these two programs launched January 2024 to help fill a critical need in the workforce.

The NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences is primarily located on Iona’s campus in Bronxville, N.Y., home to the new Kelly Center for Health Sciences. Spanning three floors and nearly 32,000 square feet, the Kelly Center offers state-of-the-art facilities and features cutting-edge technology.

Accreditation

Iona University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) to award degrees at the baccalaureate and master’s levels. Iona’s Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapy programs in the NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences are fully accredited by their respective disciplinary organizations.
