Iona University Hosts Annual Career & Internship Fair, Connecting Students with Leading Employers

New Rochelle, N.Y. - Iona University’s Center for Career Development recently hosted its annual Spring Career & Internship Fair, connecting students with top-tier employers ready to discuss internship and full-time opportunities. With over 70 employers in attendance, students networked, explored various career paths and interacted with industry professionals. 

“We appreciate the support of our employers who helped make this event so impactful,” said Jennifer Friary, director of Career Development. “Watching our students confidently pursue their career goals is truly rewarding and we’re proud of their commitment and preparation.”

Among the attendees was Andrew Govea ’26, an MBA student pursuing an advanced certificate in business continuity. Govea praised the Center for Career Development for providing invaluable guidance and resources that thoroughly prepared him for connecting with potential employers.

“Career Development helped ensure my resume was in top shape, which is crucial since it’s your first impression,” he said. “I also attended seminars on AI and did a lot of company research. Overall, being well-prepared made a huge difference.”

Alina Denaut ’26, a media & strategic communication major, also appreciated the opportunity to connect and shake hands with potential employers. 

“It was refreshing to see so many companies and organizations genuinely eager to inspire the next generation regarding future career paths,” she said. 

The success of the Career & Internship Fair underscores Iona’s commitment to empowering students with the skills and connections needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
