CIEE provides students with access to a plethora of scholarships based on merits as well as financial needs.

Gilman-McCain Scholarship
Sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program offers grants to U.S. undergraduates who are children or spouses of active or activated United States military personnel at the time of applying. This annual competitive award is given to a limited number of recipients interested in studying or interning abroad.

- Deadline: October 5, 2024
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program permits students with limited financial assistance to study or intern abroad. To be eligible for the Gilman Program, applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the time of application or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant during the term of their study abroad program or internship.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
Boren Awards
This scholarship is for students who are studying critical languages, International Affairs, Food Sciences, or taking summer STEM courses abroad. This scholarship may also cater to the financial needs of students in STEM fields studying abroad for a semester.

- Boren Fellowship: January 24, 2024
- Boren Scholarship: January 31, 2024
Tortuga Backpacks Study Abroad Scholarship
Any undergraduate student enrolled at a U.S. institution is eligible to apply.
- Amount: $1,000
- Deadlines:
- Spring: November 15, 2023;
- Fall: April 15, 2024

Any undergraduate student who is a current or former Girl Scout is eligible for this scholarship.

This essay-themed award is offered to students who exhibit a GPA 3.8 or greater, stellar non-academic achievements and financial need.
