Applying for Aid
Applying for financial aid is easier than you might think. It’s a straightforward process, and Iona University is here to help with whatever you need.
Your aid application can be completed in five simple steps. But the first thing you need to know is that every student who applies for financial aid must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Iona University’s school code for the FAFSA is 002737.
If funds are limited, students who filed by the applicable deadline will be considered for funding on a priority basis. If you're an incoming Fall semester student, you must have completed the FAFSA by April 15. For Spring semester students, the deadline is October 15 of the previous year.
All students who are admitted to Iona University will be considered for merit scholarships during the admission process. They are not required to file a FAFSA to receive or renew scholarship awards, although they are encouraged to file the FAFSA to take advantage of all types of aid for which they may be eligible.
Verification: If you were selected for verification after filing the FAFSA, we have more information about the process for you.
Special conditions: If you believe your family has special conditions that were not taken into account in determining your financial aid, you may benefit from filing a form.
