The Ionian

The Ionian is the University's award-winning bi-weekly student-run newspaper, which covers campus and worldly news, including sports, entertainment and more. A staple of campus communications, The Ionian has a historic presence at the University, dating back to 1941 when it was published under its original name, The Iona Pinnacle!

In addition to the print version which can be found around campus, The Ionian is available online for readers to enjoy.

The Ionian has won several awards, including first place in the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA) student newspaper competition for the 2018-2019 and 2023-2024 academic years.

The Ionian is open to any interested student – past journalism skills are not required!
