First-Year Students Move-In Day Schedule

Schedule of Events

8 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
Move-In Central

Please stop by the Columba Gingko Tree Quad (in front of McSpedon Hall) for helpful information, games and activities!

• 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Iona Health Services will be set-up at Move-In Central 
• 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Student Financial Services (SFS) will be opened on the 2nd Floor of McSpedon Hall 
• 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Campus Safety ID Card Services 2nd floor of the LaPenta Student Union 
• 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. IT Help Desk, Ryan Library
• 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Campus Store Move-In Day Hours, 1st Floor of Spellman Hall 

3 – 4:30 p.m.
Welcome Mass and Sweet Send-Off

Hynes East, Hynes Athletics Center

All new resident and commuter students and their families are welcome to join us for the Welcome Mass for the Class of 2028. There will be a special blessing for incoming new students and their families and a light, complimentary reception will follow the Mass. Casual attire is appropriate; come as you are! We recognize many will be spending Saturday traveling and moving in.

7 p.m.
Residence Hall Floor Meetings with your RA (MANDATORY)

Meet your RA on your floor. You will all travel to your mandatory floor meetings and then to the Office of Residential Life Orientation and evening activity.

8 p.m.
Office of Residential Life New Resident Orientation

9 p.m
Move-In Night Welcome Activity

We'll end the day with a few laughs as we look forward to Welcome Weekend Activities and the year ahead!

Welcome Weekend 

All first year and transfer residents and commuter students must take part in the complete two-day Welcome Weekend schedule of activities. Residents will reside in their permanent placement for the Fall 2024 semester. Commuters will commute to and from campus each day.
