Iona College Wins Highest Honor at 27th Annual Communicator Awards

Iona wins Digital Award of Excellence for renovated website

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.Iona College has been recognized with a Digital Award of Excellence for its completely redesigned website in the 27th Annual Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program honoring excellence, effectiveness and innovation across all areas of communication.

An Award of Excellence – the highest honor – is given to those whose ability to communicate positions them as the best in the field. With nearly 5,000 entrants from around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program for creative communications professionals.

Iona’s new website reflects the dynamic impact of an Iona education and fulfills the College’s legacy of excellence. The sleek, easy-to-maneuver and aesthetically pleasing site turns a fresh page and begins a new chapter at Iona. The launch of the new website was part of a comprehensive reimagining of the College’s logo and brand. Iona worked closely with two agency partners, mStoner for the website and Lawrence & Schiller for the rebranding.

“We are honored and thrilled to be recognized among other prestigious organizations for our hard work. Thank you to mStoner for their tremendous partnership throughout the process of completely revamping our website,” said Mary Clare Reilley, vice president for Iona College Marketing & Communications. “The site is a lot fresher, and the layout is so much cleaner. Things are more discoverable now, too, and it is a better representation of the kind of vibrant energy that you’ll find on Iona’s campus.”

mStoner, which specializes in website redesign for higher education institutions, submitted the project for consideration. The agency worked hand-in-hand with Iona to create an entirely new platform and engaging new content, focusing specifically on providing the best possible user experience. Over 2,000 pages were refreshed and transferred to the new platform with lively, interactive, informative and accessible content.
