“Leap Into Your Career” at Iona’s Career & Internship Fair Feb. 29

New Rochelle, N.Y. – Are you ready to leap into your career? Iona University’s Center for Career Development is hosting its Spring Career & Internship Fair Thursday, February 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Mulcahy Gym.
Students will have an opportunity to foster connections with more than 80 leading employers from various industry sectors such as education, healthcare, law enforcement, government, utilities, finance, nonprofits and many more. The event is open to undergraduate students, graduate students and recent alumni from all majors. Register online today and get a free professional headshot at the fair!
In advance, students are encouraged to visit the Center for Career Development on the second floor of Spellman Hall for a speed resume review to help put their best foot forward at the fair.

- Thursday, February 22, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Monday, February 26, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, February 27, 2 - 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, February 28, 10 a.m. - Noon
To maximize student success, the Center for Career Development created a before, during and after checklist for students to prepare.
Before the Fair
- Receive immediate resume feedback and a personalized resume evaluation.
- Visit the Career Center located on the second floor of Spellman Hall to have your resume review fast-tracked in time for the Career and Internship Fair.
- Check out the list of participating employers. Doing your research shows that you are prepared and genuinely interested in the company.
- Create a list of questions and talking points.
- Register and receive free professional headshots.
During the Fair
- Make a good first impression. Dress professionally and approach tables with a smile and good eye contact. Be confident and exude enthusiasm.
- Bring 10 - 20 copies of your well-polished resume.
- Stay organized. Take notes of who you spoke with and which companies you want to learn more about.
After the Fair
- Always say "Thank You."
- Remember to email those who took the time to talk with you.
- Thank them for something you learned about their organization.
- Customize each message and reiterate your interest in their company and anything unique you may have spoken about.
