Occupational Therapy Student Yu Ting Lin ’27MS Finds New Home at Iona University
Bronxville, N.Y. - As the first international student in Iona University’s occupational therapy graduate program, Yu Ting Lin ’27MS is already making an impact.
A native of Taiwan, she chose Iona for its prime location just outside of New York City and its close-knit community, which she believes provides a supportive environment for academic and personal growth.
“Iona has a great reputation and location, focusing on hands-on experience, community-based learning and encouraging students to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset,” said Lin. "I’m focusing on building a strong foundation in orthopedic and neuroscience to prepare for my second year and future board exams.”
She credits Iona’s faculty for fostering an environment rich in resources and support.
“Our faculty are very supportive of our academic success and integration of resources,” she said. “They offer many opportunities for us to engage with the medical field. For instance, Iona provides graduate assistantship opportunities for us to learn from experienced faculty members.”
