Readmission of Iona Students
Students who have not registered at Iona for a period of at least one academic year (two consecutive semesters), or who seek to return to study after a separation from the University, will need to file for readmission.
All applications will first be vetted through the Financial Services and Registrar’s offices. Students with historic/outstanding debt to the University must clear the debt prior to consideration for readmission. Students who have attended other colleges or universities are required to submit final official records from each school on record, prior to formal readmission being granted. Students not cleared by either of these offices for any reason, cannot be readmitted, but may apply again for a later term.*
After applying, students will be notified by the Center for Advising and Academic Services regarding next steps. Those authorized for readmission will be invited to schedule an appointment with a professional academic advisor in the Center for Advising to discuss current degree/major/core requirements.
*NOTE: Students are required to fulfill the Core, degree, and major requirements in effect at the time of readmission. Students who seek to return to study subsequent to a formal separation from the University, or who left with a term or semester grade point average below 2.0, will be asked to submit a personal statement prior to a final decision being made.
Applying for Readmission
Only completed applications will be considered for a return to study at Iona University. The readmission application fee is $25.
