Health Services FAQs

Yes. Appointment-based scheduling allows for better utilization of students' time and decreases risk to exposure of illness. Emergencies and walk-ins are promptly triaged and seen in the order of severity.

There is no fee to be seen in Health Service for a sick visit. However, students may incur a fee for Point of Care testing, vaccine administration or Physical Examination for sports, pre-employment or clinical field placement.

LAB TESTING

Student Health Services uses LABCORP and ACCU Reference Laboratories. It is the student's responsibility to check with their insurance provider to see if their plan participates with these laboratories.

All medical care at the the Student Health  & Wellness Center is confidential. Health care records are completely separate from all other college records.

Student Health Services staff members confer with one another as needed to provide integrated medical care for you. The Health Center will not release any information about you without your written permission, except for regulatory or quality assurance audits or judgment to protect you or others from a serious threat to health or safety.

If a patient wishes to allow a release of information from his/her records, he/she must complete an Authorization for Release of Health Information. THIS FORM IS LOCATED IN THE PORTAL UNDER FORMS.
